Clarendon Partners Announces Advisory Board

August 8, 2023, Washington D.C.Clarendon Partners, LLC, a business transformation consultancy headquartered in the Washington, D.C. area, has formed an Advisory Board comprised of five experienced leaders who will provide strategic guidance and support the company’s growth. “Given our decade of investment in the development of our platform, the time is ideal to leverage a talented group of business leaders to accelerate the growth of Clarendon Partners,” says Patrick Leonard, co-founder of the company. The Advisory Board members include:

Darin L. Buchalter – Darin is an accomplished senior operating executive and experienced advisor who has successfully built and grown professional services practices around the world.  As the leader of Navigant's Global Construction industry practice, Darin drove the practice's turnaround and transformation with the business becoming one of the largest operators in the sector. He was one of the key executives in the marketing and execution of the carve-out of select practices of Navigant, and the subsequent integration of people, clients, and infrastructure into one platform at Ankura where he served as Co-Head of Global Client Services, Chief Administrative Officer, and Board Director.  Darin has a foundation in Big 4 consulting as a Partner at EY. Currently, Darin serves on several boards for companies involved with specialty consulting services.

Jenn Garbach – Jenn an innovative, results-oriented marketing leader with decades of experience leading transformation efforts across the financial and professional services industries spanning product management, strategy technology and consumer marketing.  Jenn is currently the Chief Marketing Officer at PNC Financial Service Group, Inc.  Previously, she served as the Head of Marketing Transformation & Operations at PayPal and held a number of leadership positions at Capital One.

Maria C. Izurieta – Maria Izurieta is a financial executive and board member instrumental in advancing companies long-term financial growth through strategic and operational initiatives in both public and private companies. Ms Izurieta has a strong reputation of leading companies with her entrepreneurial energy to quickly take advantage of complex market and growth opportunities. Ms. Izurieta has a proven track record of enhancing shareholder value through growth initiatives, improving business financial metrics and health, raising funds in public and private markets, leading M&A activities and strategic exit processes and developing great places to work and high performing teams. Ms. Izurieta has won several awards for her expertise as a CFO and senior executive. Ms. Izurieta shares her expertise in developing the next generation of leaders and giving back to the business community through her involvement in various volunteer organizations.  

John L. Klinck, Jr. – Jack is a senior executive with over 30 years of extensive international operating experience in financial services and on public, private, and nonprofit boards.  Jack started his career at American Express before moving to Mellon Bank, now BNY Mellon. At Mellon, Jack was CEO of International Operations and Vice-Chairman, serving on the Management Committee.  After his tenure at Mellon, Jack joined State Street, serving on the Management Committee where he ran Global Strategy, Marketing, Hedge Fund Administration, and Client Management. Jack is currently on several boards and he also serves as a Senior Advisor at Boston Consulting Group and is a Partner at Hyperplane Venture Capital.

Michael C. May - Mike is a visible and highly active advisor focused on attracting new sources of capital, corporate strategy, and business growth and development. In his former role as Head of Multifamily Capital Markets, Debt & Structured Finance group at Newmark Knight Frank, he brought nearly four decades of experience in the capital markets, residential mortgage, and multifamily mortgage sectors to the team. Mike also served in a variety of executive leadership roles at Freddie Mac over approximately twenty years. Mike is an executive committee member of the National Equity Fund Board of Directors. He also formerly served as a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association Board of Directors, National Multi-Housing Council Board, the NMHC Finance Council, the NAHB Multifamily Leadership Board, as well as former Vice Chair of the ULI Gold Flight.
